They have been blowing up all over the city sense their Summerfest gig last year. I am trilled that we get to share the stage (Mad Planet’s that is) with them. Thank you so much Peter Thomas, for having us!

This will also be one of our last MKE performances with Caley Conway for a few month. Don’t worry, she will be back! She is going on an adventure to India for a few months. So please join us! We would love to see your smiles.

Photos: Video shoot for “A Hand Of King & Queens”

Sunday: The day of our music video shoot. For the video we drove all the way out to Sauk, WI (outside of Madison) It was very cold, & if I had considered the location, I would have brought warmer clothes. The video was directed by Brian Lis, & his crew of the merry weathermen. I would like thank Brian for his help & contributions to the project. With out him, we never would have been able get the concept off the ground.

I would also like to thank everyone who came Saturday to our performance at Der Rathskeller in Madison. The audience was receptive & enjoyable to play to.  Thank you TJ Matzenh & Brandon Clementi for helping me obtain the gig! I also had the pleasure of seeing Giant People, who also played that night. They are a up & coming Madison band that has been rocking a frenzy all over Madison latley. Its nice to see someone else who love Frank Black as much as I do.

Our show at Stage Right (in MKE) Friday equally enjoyably. Caley Conway & myself each played a set of our material, with Loup headlining. The combination of Caley’s family & friends, with the assorted crew of Loup & myself made for a very diverse crowd. Given that the venue is no larger then the average living room, it was rather “packed”. Thanks for having us Stage Right!?

Overall a really rusty weekend…

Before we head off to our weekend in Madison, we will be playing a little Milwaukee gig. Stage Right is located off the side of The Miramar Theater. Small place, but it only fills up faster. I’ve seen some awesome Brandon Miller jazz sets there. He will be performing with Loup for the occasion. Our own Rusty Nickel, Caley Conway, will throwing in her two cents in as well. She will be performing her own material, which I will say is amazing.

Please join Animals In Human Attire next Saturday, Nov 12th, for our performance at Riverwest Public House. This venue has a killer sound system, & some really kick ass bands are playing. It’s gonna be a good show. It’s set in stone. We are also being joined by our friends, Hemmingbirds, from Chicago, IL. They are a kick ass Indie band with a great live show. Look into it!

The Rusty Nickels played at Cactus Club Saturday. I was really impressed by the venues sound. It was awesome being able to hear each Nickel threw a monitor. We have also been playing a new song lately, My Grandmother’s House. I really dig this playing this tune. Maybe we will record it soon? Thank you again Slander Cannon for having us.
